Count Us In is developed by C.T.Blunt. We respect your right to control your personal data.
This page explains how to request deletion of your account and what happens to your data.
How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your Count Us In account and associated data, please follow these steps:

Send an email request to our support team at
support@countusin.app
with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"

Include the following information in your email:
- The email address associated with your Count Us In account
- Your account name (if different from email)
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account

Verify your identity - We may ask you to confirm your identity to prevent unauthorized deletion requests

Receive confirmation - We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once completed
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to all your events, contacts, and friend groups.

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

Data Retention & Legal Requirements
Immediately Deleted
Most of your personal data is deleted within 30 days of your deletion request being processed:
- Profile information (name, bio, profile photo)
- Contact details (email, phone number)
- All events you created or participated in
- Friend connections and groups
- App preferences and settings
Retained Data (Legal & Security Requirements)
Some data may be retained for legal, security, or operational purposes:

Transaction logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and fraud prevention

Backup systems: Data in automated backups will be deleted within 90 days as backups are rotated

Legal compliance: If required by law, certain records may be retained for up to 7 years (e.g., financial records, legal disputes)

Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely
Data Visible to Others
Please note:
- Events you created that others have joined will be deleted, and participants will be notified
- Your name will be removed from friend lists and group memberships
- Messages or interactions you had with other users will show as "Deleted User"
Alternative: Temporary Deactivation
If you're not ready for permanent deletion, you can temporarily deactivate your account by logging out
and not using the app. Your data will remain secure and you can return at any time.
Note: Currently, Count Us In does not offer a formal "deactivation" feature separate from deletion.
Simply stop using the app if you want to take a break.
